Have you ever googled the word hacker? The average person thinks of them as nefarious coders locked up in their rooms, hoodies up, spending hours in front of a computer looking for ways to break into other people´s systems and wreak havoc. And while some hackers may help build this stereotype, the truth is that most of them are common techies that want to do good. “Hero Hackers” is a testimonial series that highlights ethical “white-hat” hackers to show that many hackers don’t fit the negative stereotypes associated with them. White hat hackers are good people, making a huge impact. In this series, we’re highlighting stories provided by the industry's best white hackers. We hope this series allows us all to better understand their perspective so that we can learn, and gain inspiration from their work.
